Below, you’ll find videos of customers, friends, and performers using our Performance Hybrid Nylon Whips.  But this top video is a detailed tutorial of how to attach your thongs to your handles using the beautiful, traditional, and deceptively simple French Grapevine Whipping.  We’ve always included detailed illustrated instructions on how to attach your Performance Hybrid Whip thong to its handle using the French Grapevine, but we figured a little supplemental video can’t hurt!  So if you run into any problems with your instruction sheet, you can just check out the video.  Or if you’re ready to place an order but are unsure about how much work or skill it will take to do the French Grapevine, go ahead and have a look.  It’s just feeding the strands down into the handle followed by repeating half hitches – the same basic knot as the first step of tying your shoe!

This is Sylvia Rosat’s whipcracking act presented in Belgium winter 2012- 2013.  She has been using our Performance Hybrid Nylon Whips in her shows for a few years now, practices all the time and has become very skilled!  Go Sylvia!

A couple of months ago, long-time Performance Hybrid Whip owners and all around whipcrackers Todd Rex and Michelle Nyree drove out to crack whips with us.  We ended up in Rhyolite, a ghost town just about an hour from our shop, where T Rex shot this fabulously fun video of all four of us cracking mostly PH Nylon Whips made by myself – Lauren Wickline.  The only other whips that we used were one white pair of Whippa Stockwhips by Simon Martin.

It was a beautiful day, very cool scenery, great company, and in my humble opinion, an excellently entertaining video showing off quite a lot of fun whipcracking from all four of us, as well as Todd’s artistic and video editing skills.  The only way to make whipcracking more fun is to do it with good friends!

While we don’t necessarily recommend cracking often in places where your whips can hit against rough surfaces (nylon is tough, but nothing is indestructible!), this video of Todd cracking his PH whips inside a small, one bedroom apartment illustrates how versatile these whips are.  Pictures of Todd’s whips can be seen here.  Or, check out our MidWestWhips Nylon Whips page for more information on Performance Hybrid whips.  (If you can’t see the video above, you can also view it on Youtube by clicking here).

Actor and fight director Jacob D. Guinn sent us this video just after receiving his matched pair of PH whips and tying his French Grapevines.
